Young (Film) Programmers Project
A comprehensive peak into Film Festival programming, from screener to screening.
Cork International Film Festival is delighted to announce the return of our Young (Film) Programmers training project!
CIFF is looking for four young cinephiles interested in joining the CIFF2024 team as part of our Young (Film) Programmers Project.
Under the tutelage of CIFF’s Programming Team, a panel of four young people will learn about the curatorial process of film festivals, developing a comprehensive understanding of festival programming, from screener to screening, along with marketing, licensing and distribution, event management and networking.
CIFF’s Young (Film) Programmers will support our Programming team in the selection of the films eligible for our Festival Youth Jury Award, and will present the Youth Jury Award Programme at our Festival in November 2024.
The aim of this project is to provide young cinephiles with a professional training opportunity to engage with the film festival industry, and engage with cinema programming for young people, by young people.
