Cork International Film Festival is thrilled to be shortlisted with its partners for the fourth year in a row at the Business to Arts Awards.
The Festival is shortlisted in two categories: ‘Community Foundation Ireland Creative Access Award’ and ‘Judges Special Recognition Award’ category with our valued partners.
The Festival has been shortlisted for ‘Community Foundation Ireland Creative Access Award’ for our innovative and creative collaboration with ESB Energy for Generations. Our Intinn Youth Film and Mental Health Programme which has engaged over 7,800 Transition Year students since 2019 is a free film and mental health programme. It offers Transition Year students the opportunity to explore mental health, personal well-being and strategies of resilience through film, Q&As with filmmakers and well-being workshops led by youth mental health specialists.
CIFF has also been shortlisted in ‘Judges Special Recognition Award’ category along with our portfolio of partners ESB Energy for Generations, Irish Examiner, Babelfis, Murphy’s, Future Planet & University College Cork
Developed in collaboration with University College Cork School of Nursing and Midwifery, Intinn is supported by ESB Energy for Generations Fund, and has been shortlisted for multiple Business to Arts Awards in 2021, 2022, 2023 and now 2024.
The Business to Arts Awards recognise businesses, philanthropists, artists, and arts organisations that develop compelling creative partnerships. This year’s shortlist represents a mix of innovative, new partnerships initiated as organisations emerged from the pandemic, as well as a clear intention to provide new pathways and opportunities for underrepresented artists and communities.The 2024 shortlist represents a mix of new corporate entrants to arts sponsorship as well as a strong show of continuing support from long-standing supporters of the arts in the business world.
This year’s Judging Panel featured representatives from Accenture, CBRE, Community Foundation Ireland, daa, Dublin International Film Festival, ESB, Irish Architecture Foundation, Irish Life, Kmend, The Irish Times, and TileStyle.
The Awards will take place on the evening of Monday 9th September at the National Concert Hall.
