With the 67th CIFF in full swing after a busy Opening Gala last night, we have a quick update on some of the exciting elements of our programme to come tomorrow, Saturday 12th November.
All Festival tickets and passes (including our 5 Film Cinema Pass) are on sale now at corkfilmfest.org and the myCIFF app.
DON’T MISS OUT – SELLING FAST
Armageddon Time (Sat 12 Nov, The Everyman, 20:30) is one of the biggest titles at this year’s CIFF, so it’s not surprising that it’s very nearly sold out. Inspired by the director’s turbulent childhood, Armageddon Time is a deeply personal story on the strength of family, complexity of friendship and the American dream, featuring Anthony Hopkins, Anne Hathaway and Jeremy Strong.
A handful of tickets are still available for our Culinary Event, documentary Terroir to Table (Sat 12 Nov, Gate Cinema, 12:00) followed by a wine tasting at L’Atitude 51, so if you were hoping to fit some wine tasting into your Film Festival experience now is the time to get on board. Tickets for the film only are also available.
A Cine-Concert is always a cause for celebration, and our A Trip To The Moon Cine-Concert (Sat 12 Nov, Triskel, 12:30 / 14:30) is no different, with tickets nearly sold out to both showings already. Be sure to get in now to avoid disappointment. Funded by the Arts Council Commissions Award and presented in association with the French Embassy in Ireland.

DISCOVERY CHOICE
Beautiful Beings
Recommended by Anna Kopecká, CIFF Director of Programming
“My personal tip for Saturday is exceptional Icelandic coming-of-age story Beautiful Beings. Our whole team fell immediately in love with this strong, violent, yet poetic and subtle movie that already won many festival awards. Best film I seen in Berlin this year and definitely a true highlight of our Nordic selection.”
A violent yet poetic coming-of-age Icelandic drama focussing on 14-year-old Addi, the lead of a gang of misfits. Nominated for our Youth Jury Award.
Gate Cinema – Sat 12 – 16:30

A staple of the New York midnight movie scene, Frank Henenlotter’s notorious debut still has the power to shock 40 years after its release. Duane Bradley is a young man who arrives in Manhattan seeking revenge for an unwanted operation separating him from his conjoined twin brother, but is he hiding something sinister in his locked wicker basket?
