Cork International Film Festival Shortlisted for Three Business To Arts Awards
Cork International Film Festival (CIFF) is thrilled to have been shortlisted in three categories for the 2021 Business to Arts Awards.
ESB Energy for Generations Fund and Cork International Film Festival have been shortlisted in the Best Small Sponsorship and Best Use of Creativity in the Community, supported by Irish Life categories along with partners Creative Ireland, Rethink Ireland and UCC School of Nursing and Midwifery for our Illuminate and Intinn programmes.
CIFF has also been shortlisted for the Judges’ Special Recognition Award supported by Accenture for our partnerships with The Gate Cinemas, ESB Energy for Generations Fund, Creative Ireland, Rethink Ireland and UCC School of Nursing and Midwifery.

Illuminate is CIFF’s film and mental health strand which presents film and public discussion events exploring different aspects of mental health and wellbeing in partnership with ESB Energy for Generations Fund, and support from the HSE.
Intinn is our film and mental health outreach programme for Transition Year and Senior Cycle students, delivered online in 2020 direct to classrooms throughout Ireland. Intinn, meaning ‘mind’ or ‘way of thinking’, offers students the opportunity to explore themes of mental health and personal wellbeing through the accessible medium of film, an exclusive Q&A and a wellbeing webinar, with classroom resources. This programme is presented with the support of Creative Ireland, Rethink Ireland and ESB Energy for Generations Fund.
The Business To Arts Awards recognise outstanding examples of artists, arts organisations and businesses that work together in areas such as sponsorship, commissioning, staff training and events, CSR initiatives, philanthropy and community engagement. Despite the significant challenges faced by businesses and the arts over the past year, entries to the 29th Business to Arts Awards were significant. The shortlist showcases exceptional examples of these creative partnerships which are adapting to the current environment and are setting new standards for arts engagement and backing. The nominations received represented over €9m contributed to Irish arts and culture.
