A cine concert is often the pinnacle of any film festival schedule, a grand occasion combining the stunning imagery of a classic film with the all-enveloping feeling of a live music event. Combined with Irene Buckley and Linda Buckley’s new score, performed by percussion ensemble Bangers and Crash, and screened – with interval refreshments – in the magnificent Everyman Theatre, this special presentation of Metropolis, Fritz Lang’s genre-defining work of science fiction, will be a night to remember.
Told in one continuous 90-minute shot, and featuring the exceptional Stephen Graham in the lead role, Philip Barantini’s adrenalin-fuelled Boiling Point is a headlong dive into the intense world of high-class dining.
