    The Music Video Awards 2016

    From a field of fifty, the Festival chose a shortlist of eight Irish and International music videos. The Cork Film Festival shorts jury will choose the winners. The eight films are sprinkled throughout the programme before feature films playing in the Gate Cinema – eyes and ears peeled!

    Irish Music Video Award Shortlist:
    Jack O’Rourke: Dreamcatcher, dir.: Jason Keane
    Saint Sister: Madrid, dir.: Bob Gallagher
    Saramai: Trees, dir.: Aaron Brady;
    The Coronas: The Long Way, dir.: Stevie Russell
    Mick Flannery: Cameo, dir.: Brian Cronin

    International Music Video Shortlist:
    Loguercio: The Ballad of Hypochondria, dir.: Antonella Matarazzo (Italy)
    Composer Christopher ‘Bird’ Jowaisas & performers The Absynth Quartet: Boomerang, dir.: Steven Vander Meer (USA)
    SAFIA: Make them Wheels Roll, dir.: Jimmy Ennett (Australia)
    Hope: Cell, dir.: Riccardo Bernardi (Germany); Deacon Blue: This is a Love Song, dir.: Adrian Rowe (UK)
